Welcome Back Warriors! Second Semester Starts Tuesday, January 6th, 2026

Posted Date: 01/05/26 (03:15 PM)

Dear Warrior Families,

We are excited to welcome all students and staff back to Woodside tomorrow, Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.

Tuesday will be a RED DAY for students. Students will report to their Warrior Time classes (home room) first thing Tuesday morning. Students will be instructed to pull up PowerSchool to look at their second semester schedules at this time. Students will be directed to contact their school counselor with any questions or concerns regarding their second semester schedule.

The first Warrior Newsletter of the semester will be sent out this Friday, January 9th. Look for that for additional news and information regarding upcoming events/dates/etc. at Woodside.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to remind parents and guardians who are driving their student(s) to school of the procedures, and remind everyone to make safe choices when dropping off their children.

- DO NOT drop your child off anywhere except the sidewalk by Door 8. It is very dangerous to ask your child to walk through the dark parking lot or to cut across the car line, as other drivers will not expect to see your student there. Do not pull into parking spots to drop off or let off on the road, as this will put your own student(s) at risk.

 - DO NOT get out of the line and try to cut in front of other cars. Please be considerate of your fellow Woodside caregivers and avoid any accidents by waiting your turn. The lines actually move quicker when everyone takes turns, rather than having to hold up for some who may jump out of line to try to cut ahead 2 or 3 cars.

With our emphasis on safety and supervision of the students who are inside of the building in the morning, we are relying on parents to act safely and responsibly in the drop-off line and while exiting the campus. Also, you should know that we monitor the traffic daily, road construction, train stoppages, as well as the weather; and we make a decision each morning whether it is appropriate to “clear” tardies to Warrior Time or not.

Thank you for your cooperation and support! We're looking forward to a great second semester of classes and extracurriculars here at WMS!
