Good evening, Warrior Families,
Day Two at Woodside Middle School was a great day! We really saw a lot of students hitting their groove and finding comfort in familiar routines and clear expectations.
Today Woodside students had their last day with their extended Warrior Time (home room) first thing in the morning to help them get acclimated and adjusted to a new school year. One of the activities during that extended Warrior Time today was introducing students to their Digital Planner. The Digital Planner is a resource to help students stay organized and on top of their classwork and assignments. Students are encouraged by teachers throughout the day to put their assignments in their planner to help them learn organizational skills, prioritization, encourage preparation, and how to plan ahead. We encourage you to ask your student to show you their Digital Planner and to set a routine as a family to help reinforce it's usage at home.
Tomorrow, Friday, August 9th will be our first PINK DAY of the school year. Students do not have Warrior Time on Pink Days and should report directly to their Red 1 class first thing in the morning after putting away their bags in their lockers. Fridays are also "Warrior Family Fridays" and we all wear Woodside gear or Red/Black to show school spirit! We encourage all students to participate as well. It's always great to see how much our staff and students love being a Warrior. Click here for our online Woodside Back to School Apparel Store which is open until 8/14/24.
