Redistricting options at Woodside Middle School (WMS) and Covington Elementary (CES)

The SACS district is growing and WMS and CES could see redistricting in the future. At recent Woodside Middle and Covington Elementary's Parent Teacher Club meetings, Superintendent Dr. Phil Downs shared redistricting plans designed to meet the needs of the growing community.

Sharing a detailed map, Dr. Downs has identified ZONE 1 as the proposed households to move in the 2019-2020 school year.

As part of the proposal, students advancing to the fifth and eighth grade next school year will have the option to remain at their respective schools but SACS transportation will not be provided. Class size could also be affected.
*Note: This option does not apply to the student's siblings.

Dr. Downs will present the official redistricting  recommendation to the SACS School Board at the  November 20 meeting. The  board will makes its final decision on December 4, 2018.
