Each year we enjoy having our incoming 5th grade students and parents visit Woodside Middle School. Our goal is for you to become more comfortable with the middle school setting, and to help our students make a seamless transition from elementary to middle school. This year, of course, we are unable to have the physical visits to Woodside as we have in the past.
In order to help with the transition, we have created some materials to help you and your incoming 5th grader do a virtual visit of the school, and also meet the staff. It is still our hope to have some times available prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, for you to walk the halls, tour the building, open lockers, and become more comfortable with the building. We are updating our plans for the summer as more information comes to us, so please watch for emails from Woodside and periodically check our website for details.
As we look towards next year, please know that there are opportunities to get involved. Most of the opportunities come as an extension of our incredible Parent Teacher Club (PTC). If you have a desire to get involved with PTC, please email our building Secretary ([email protected]) and Ashley will make sure your information is shared with our current PTC officers.
Our goal each year is to partner closely with our families and ensure that Woodside is meeting the needs of all our students. We want you to be completely comfortable and feel welcome at Woodside. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us as needs may arise.
